President Bush Spoke About Past Alcohol Addiction

He explained, “I doubt I’d be standing here if I hadn’t quit drinking whiskey, and beer and wine and all that.” President Bush made the decision to give up his drinking on his 40th birthday.

His intention for the interview was to encourage young people at the White House who had come for an event to help stop alcohol and drug addiction in their communities.
